What is a Dirtbag

In the real world, a Dirtbag is an individual not well respected, useless, dirty, and a person society does not affiliate with. In the baseball world, a Dirtbag is one of the highest praises a baseball player can be called. WHY? Because a Dirtbag on the diamond is someone who is willing to give it their best at all times no matter the situation. They will sacrifice an at bat for the better of the team, layout for any ball in their vicinity, and go full speed at all times. Dirtbags are the greatest teammates who you can always count on to give consistent effort and leaves everything on the field.
